Behavioral Health Prep provides consulting services to behavioral health organizations, treatment programs, and healthcare providers.

We recognize the importance of protecting confidential and sensitive information and strive to maintain responsible data practices when working with clients.

Protected Health Information (PHI)

Behavioral Health Prep does not request or require the submission of Protected Health Information (PHI) through this website.

Clients should ensure that any documents, charts, or materials submitted for consulting purposes are appropriately de-identified and compliant with applicable privacy regulations, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Examples of information that should be removed before submission include:

Patient names
Dates of birth
Social security numbers
Medical record numbers
Addresses
Contact information
Any other identifying information

Consulting Engagements

When consulting engagements involve review of documentation or operational materials from healthcare organizations, clients are responsible for ensuring that all information shared complies with HIPAA and other applicable privacy laws.

If protected health information must be shared as part of a consulting engagement, a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) may be required prior to the exchange of such information.

Email Communication

Email communication may not always be secure. Clients should avoid sending protected health information via email unless appropriate safeguards or agreements are in place.
